Ben, the cross members for that boat are still at the GreenMountain Engineering office if they would be of use to the school and you are willing to haul them North.

Yes, I suppose this is true. I have modified the text accordingly.

I am keen on the treehouse idea, though it is hard to justify in comparison to useful work. Maybe we can make a party of it come summer.

Perhaps it would be better to say "Alexis was stuck attending to the ICU" than "Alexis was stuck in the ICU.'

Also, regarding the matter of a treehouse: hell, yes!

For those of you following along at home, "Just when the pikes were about to come out" was 8:15 AM on Saturday morning. At the Polito compound, that's how they roll.

HI Ben,

Last night, I screwed together the joists and planks for the cider press base. It still needs a little chamfering and sanding, but it's functional. (Also, it's lighter than I thought. I don't know why I was worried about it being too heavy.) I have the threaded rod, the 2x6 clamp pieces, and some beefy lag bolts for attaching to the frame. Ready for assembly tomorrow-- huzzah!
